Warmaster Winter Warmer 2027

Spoils of War

Five loot counters reward armies that can seize and hold the spoils.

Players make a scouting roll as per page 82 of the Warmaster Revolution Rulebook; the winner picks a long table edge.

Before deployment, five loot counters are placed in a straight line between the two short edges: one in the centre, two 30cm from it, and two a further 30cm out. Organisers move any counter that would begin in impassable terrain.

Deployment: as per page 81 of the Warmaster Revolution Rulebook.

  • Loot counters may be picked up and carried by units.
  • Only Infantry, Cavalry and Chariots normally allowed to carry magic items may carry loot counters.
  • A unit may carry only one counter and picks it up by ending its move on it.
  • A carrying unit must keep the counter and suffers a -1 Command penalty when ordered.
  • If it loses a round of combat, the loot is dropped and may be immediately claimed by a winning unit that was in base contact. Otherwise it is returned as near to the original line as possible, at least 1cm from all units.
  • If the unit is destroyed, the counter is dropped in place.

Victory conditions: as per page 69 of the Warmaster Revolution Rulebook. Each loot counter held by a friendly unit at the end of the game adds 150 VP.
